Year One
28th Mar 2025
Dear AK family,
A Year In Review
Well so much for one blog post every month, best laid plans and all that. What a year though!
I'd like to take a moment and thank everybody who took a chance on us and placed an order. We've had the privilege of providing the tools we adore to some really lovely people, so thank you all for your support.
It certainly hasn't been easy, online knife sales are a hot topic of conversation at the moment in the UK and come with a set of unique barriers, it's been a steep learning curve and a lot of hard work but I'm really enjoying the challenge of getting ArcticKnife out there and recognised. I'm pleased to see that from our work on social media and good old fashioned word of mouth, we're seeing a steady increase in our daily visitors as the weeks wear on. Any shares and recommendations go a long way so please don't hesitate to spread the word.
So what's new?
Frequenters of ArcticKnife will have noticed that we have expanded into the sale of Pre-owned Spyderco with a focus on the rare, exotic and discontinued models. It has been great fun to put together. Please keep checking in, we're adding stock all the time and the really sexy stuff doesn't last long. Please do reach out if you have something that you'd like to sell.
We've also just acquired an enormous quantity of clearance stock that we're so excited to share with the ArcticKnife family. If you haven't checked it out already, please do so, there are some incredible deals to be had on some fantastic knives... more to come in the next few days.
Finally, I'm so pleased to introduce Mr. Narwhal to you guys, you'll find him popping up in each product description, he's got an opinion on everything and can occasionally be quite funny so keep an eye out for him.
What's next?
We're continuing with our commitment to bring Spyderco to the UK enthusiasts as quickly as possible and at a fair price, one order at a time. I'm excited to share with you also that we'll perhaps be adding some other different types of products to the website soon, a UK first. Please do follow our antics on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with these developments, @harleynarwhal. I want to keep up with the blogs and may even adapt them into newsletter form to share with our customers via email, let me know what you think.
Until next time...
Thank you again for your continued support and making all of this possible. We have a great little community that's growing everyday, it really is a privilege to work with you all. If you folks have any suggestions for us, any wants and needs that are not being met in the UK market, please don't hesitate to reach out, maybe I can make it happen.
It's a difficult time for knife collectors right now and we've really got to look after each other now more than ever and weather the oncoming storm. ArcticKnife is resolved to battling on and keeping the hobby that love so much, alive and well in the UK.
Speak soon and all the very best,
Harley
