The Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 Drop-point glass blasted 'Plain-Jane' represents the latest evolution of one of the most influential modern folding knife designs. Introduced in 2019 at the BLADE Show, the Sebenza 31 builds upon the long-standing reputation of the earlier Chris Reeve Sebenza 21, a model widely respected for its precision engineering and understated functionality. The Sebenza platform has long been associated with careful machining, tight tolerances and a clean, purposeful aesthetic, and the 31 continues that tradition with subtle refinements that enhance both comfort and durability. With its minimalist design and balanced proportions, the Large Sebenza 31 remains a benchmark example of a thoughtfully engineered everyday carry folding knife.
This example is in excellent condition. The thumb studs, backspacer and lanyard piece have been professionally polished to remove the blue anodisation for a monochrome aesthetic that will never tire (unlike the blue ano). It has been carried but never cut, there are some very light 'snail trails' on the pocketclip and a small mark on the showside scale, the paracord is no longer present. Complete with original box and papers.

Evolution of an Icon
The Large Sebenza 31 measures approximately 8.4 inches overall and features a 3.61-inch drop-point blade crafted from CPM MagnaCut, a modern alloy produced by Crucible Industries known for its combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and edge retention. The blade is hollow ground for efficient slicing performance and finished with a durable stonewashed surface. A titanium frame lock, integrated into the glass-blasted 6Al-4V titanium handle, incorporates a ceramic interface ball to reduce wear at the lock face and maintain smooth operation over time. Phosphor bronze washers support the blade pivot, promoting reliable and controlled action, while the offset pocket clip improves grip comfort during use. The knife’s straightforward construction also allows easy maintenance, with the design intended to be disassembled and serviced with basic tools when required.
