Iconic Ed Schempp
The Spyderco Rock Salt is a knife built for those moments when only a large blade will do. With a 6.75-inch Khukuri-inspired profile crafted from rustproof H-1 steel, this fixed blade is ideal for heavy-duty outdoor tasks, from camp chores and chopping to slicing and food preparation. Despite its imposing size, the Rock Salt was designed in collaboration with custom knifemaker Ed Schempp to remain lightweight, agile, and perfectly balanced. Skeletonised construction within the full tang shaves weight, while the sweeping hollow grind and swedge combine cutting power with exceptional control.
This example is in unused condition. There are some light scratches (for which H-1 is prone) from insertion and removal from the sheath. Complete with original box, some small tears in the corner of the box have been repaired.
"A truly iconic Ed Schempp design, the master of functional ergonomics." - Mr. Narwhal
Ergonomic Masterclass
The FRN (fibreglass-reinforced nylon) handle scales feature Spyderco’s Bi-Directional Texturing, ensuring a secure grip whether wet or dry. Multiple lanyard options make it adaptable to different carry and chopping styles, while the injection-moulded FRN sheath with G-Clip offers versatile carry positions. For collectors and enthusiasts searching for a second hand Spyderco UK option, the Rock Salt remains a sought-after model thanks to its blend of big-blade strength and lightweight handling, making it a unique tool for both the outdoors and the collection.
