Absolutely beautiful, classic Ed Schempp design. Very rare at this point. Knife is in great condition, the bolsters do have some light scratches. Factory edge, the upswept, hollow ground VG-10 blade is stunning. This is Seki City at its finest.

One such standout is Ed Schempp, a wheat farmer and renowned knife designer whose creativity often sparks while working his fields. Balancing practical knowledge with artistic intuition, Schempp merges traditional craftsmanship with cultural influence. His signature wheat sheaf symbol appears on all his creations – a tribute to both his roots and his passion.
His collaboration with Spyderco produced the Persian Folder – a striking folding knife that blends classic Western styling with the elegance of Eastern design. Traditionally, Persian-style blades are fixed, but Schempp has reimagined this form into a folding version that’s both practical and visually arresting.
Crafted from VG-10 stainless steel, the blade is hollow-ground with a deep belly and an upswept tip – ideal for slicing and fine control. A gentle curve along the spine provides a natural resting point for the thumb, enhancing grip and precision. The flowing lines of the blade continue into the ergonomic handle, which is constructed from smooth black Micarta and finished with polished steel bolsters.
These curves not only enhance the knife’s aesthetic but also serve functional purposes: creating a finger choil, a secure crook for the index finger, and a curved tail to support multiple grip styles. A custom stainless steel pocket clip keeps the knife right-handed, tip-up carry ready at all times.
