Built for Anglers, Loved by Collectors
First introduced in 1992, the Spyderco Catcherman quickly became a cult classic among anglers and collectors alike. Designed as a purpose-built folding fillet knife, it earned its reputation through thoughtful design, dependable performance and its distinctive integral moulded pocket clip. Now, Spyderco revives this iconic model in a limited Sprint Run, reimagined for modern Salt Series performance. For fans searching out the Spyderco Catcherman Salt UK release, this marks a rare opportunity to own a legendary design brought firmly up to date.
"It's weird, it's ugly, it's parctical, it's an eternal classic in the Spyderco lineup." - Mr. Narwhal
From Fillet Knife to Icon
For the first time ever, the Catcherman features a full-flat-ground blade, crafted from ultra-corrosion-resistant LC200N steel. Developed specifically for use in and around water, LC200N delivers exceptional toughness, improved edge retention over earlier Salt steels, and outstanding resistance to rust — even in harsh marine environments. The lightweight FRN handle follows Spyderco’s second-generation Salt construction, eliminating internal liners while maintaining strength through a reinforced internal web pattern. Finished in high-visibility green and moulded with Bi-Directional Texturing, it offers a secure grip in wet conditions. True to modern Spyderco standards, the knife also benefits from improved ergonomics and refined edge geometry, making this Sprint Run Catcherman one of the most capable and corrosion-resistant folding fillet knives Spyderco has ever produced.
