The TRC Classic Freedom is a compact outdoor knife from TRC Knives, inspired by the adventurous spirit of writer and outdoorsman Ernest Hemingway. Best known for his literary achievements, Hemingway also spent much of his life pursuing outdoor pursuits such as deep-sea fishing, a passion that influenced the ethos behind this design. The Classic Freedom reflects that heritage with a clean, practical layout intended for a wide range of outdoor and everyday utility tasks. A smaller counterpart to the TRC This is Freedom, the Classic Freedom maintains the same distinctive styling while offering a more compact and carry-friendly format. Its slim profile and sculpted handle scales help ensure comfortable handling while remaining easy to carry on the belt during extended use outdoors.

Precise and Capable
The Classic Freedom features a full-tang blade crafted from Böhler M390, a premium alloy valued for its excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and long-lasting edge retention. This version is finished with TRC’s distinctive Apocalypse surface treatment, which gives the blade a rugged forged appearance and ensures that each example has a slightly unique character. The handle scales are made from American made premium black canvas micarta and shaped with pronounced grooves to provide a secure grip in varied conditions, while remaining relatively slim for comfortable carry. Completing the package is a durable kydex sheath with a belt attachment.
