Function Distilled
Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser designed the lightweight, mid-sized RockJumper™ to meet the needs of outdoor enthusiasts and climbers. Following the success of this popular model and feedback from loyal users, Sal returned to the drawing board and developed the LeafJumper.
"The Leafjumper perfectly epitomises everything that makes Spyderco great." - Mr. Narwhal
Solid and Practical
The LeafJumper retains the same ergonomic handle design as its predecessor, featuring skeletonised stainless steel liners, fibreglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) scales, non-slip Bi-Directional Texturing, a four-position pocket clip, a robust back lock mechanism, and a positive self-close function. Its VG-10 stainless steel blade is crafted with a minimal ricasso (the unbeveled, full-thickness area near the handle) to maximise edge length.
What distinguishes the LeafJumper is its distinctive leaf-shaped blade. Full-flat ground and satin finished, the blade is available in both PlainEdge and SpyderEdge configurations. The slightly upswept edge profile enhances and strengthens the point, making it exceptionally versatile for a wide range of cutting tasks.
