The Spyderco Metropolitan UK is a modern evolution of Spyderco’s acclaimed SLIPIT™ series, designed for those who value practical everyday carry that complies with UK knife laws. Originally conceptualised years ago, this design eventually became the Denmark-legal DKPK folder, and now returns in its refined Metropolitan form. Perfectly sized between the UK Penknife™ and the Urban™, it features a non-locking, notched-joint mechanism for ease of use, social and legal friendliness, as well as the Trademark Round Hole for effortless one-handed opening. Its full-flat-ground, leaf-shaped blade is crafted from Böhler-Uddeholm’s M398 steel – a high-performance stainless steel regarded as an evolution of M390, offering superior edge retention with a modest trade-off in toughness.
