The evolution of the Sage
The eternally popular Sage Series has been used as a platform for showcasing various lock mechanisms, paying homage to the inventive minds behind them. This particular rendition of the Sage 1 marks a new chapter, elevating the Michael Walker LinerLock design by introducing a blade crafted from Micro-Melt® Maxamet.
The knife boasts a full-flat-ground, leaf-shaped blade, complemented by a handle featuring full stainless steel liners, a reversible deep-pocket wire clip, and distinctive peel-ply-textured G-10 scales in a cool grey hue. Retaining the much loved ergonomics and proportions, this iteration brings a blend of innovation and durability to the evolution of the Sage.

Maxamet is not chill
Maxamet is a serious steel, possessing properties in hardness that go beyond conventional high-speed steels and begin to align more closely with cemented carbides. The levels of edge retention exhibited by Maxamet are truly incredible and must be seen to be believed. This performance does however come at the cost of being more prone to chipping if abused and more prone to corrosion. With that being said, left to it's own devices, Maxamet will develop a lovely patina over time and use.
