Heritage Design, Serious Cutting Power

A true classic from Spyderco’s golden era of collaboration, the Spyderco Starmate UK is a bold, full-sized folding knife that reflects the design influence of renowned custom maker and father of the modern folding tactical knife, Bob Terzuola. Built with a distinctly tactical yet timeless character, the Starmate blends robust proportions with refined ergonomics, making it a favourite among collectors and serious users alike. Its confident stance and purposeful lines place it firmly in the lineage of hard-use Spyderco icons, while still feeling perfectly balanced in the hand.

"This reissue of a iconic collaboration is beautifully crafted in premium materials, what are you looking at me for? Just buy it." - Mr. Narwhal

Hard Use Bruiser

The heart of the Spyderco Starmate is its broad, flat-ground blade, designed for strength, control, and dependable cutting performance. The blade deploys via Spyderco’s Trademark Round Hole, allowing smooth, positive one-handed opening. It is supported by a sturdy liner lock mechanism and paired with contoured handle scales that provide a secure, hand-filling grip during demanding use. A stainless steel pocket clip enables convenient carry, completing a knife that remains every bit as capable and relevant today as when it was first introduced.

    Easily overlooked

You could think like I did at first that this is just another "black g10 knife" like all the rest, maybe the PM2 is better etc etc, but you need to realise what this is. It's a reissue of the very first spyderco collaboration between Sal with the guy who invented the tactical folder (both 80+ years old). I bought this knife for the blade, its excellent, unusual, true spyderco, and the construction is beefy, which i like, and I do personally think this will be something special in the years to come and won’t be repeated again.
