Designed for UK EDC
Spyderco introduced the UK Penknife in response to the United Kingdoms hysterical restrictions on carrying knives with locking blades. Spyderco built upon and refined the traditional slipjoint mechanism, incorporating a finger choil so that the index finger can safely 'choke up' on the knife blade to provide both excellent cutting control and a degree of safety since the blade cannot unexpectedly close on your fingers during use. Spyderco innovation didn't stop there however and the UKPK also got a trademark 'SpydieHole' for one-handed opening and a wire pocketclip for carry convenience.

The UK Penknife is proudly crafted in the USA and is equipped with a highly practical full flat ground drop point blade fashioned from CTS® BD1N, a nitrogen-enriched high-carbon chromium steel that delivers an excellent balance of hardness, edge retention and corrosion resistance, it's user friendly and perfect for EDC. The action is smooth with a satisfying click into the hold-open position, the slipjoint mechanism is notched and features a half-stop position for finger safety whilst closing the knife. Finally the UKPK is equipped with textured black FRN scales that provide great user comfort and function.
