Spyderco introduced the UK Penknife in response to the United Kingdoms hysterical restrictions on carrying knives with locking blades. Spyderco built upon and refined the traditional slipjoint mechanism, incorporating a finger choil so that the index finger can safely 'choke up' on the knife blade to provide both excellent cutting control and a degree of safety since the blade cannot unexpectedly close on your fingers during use. Spyderco innovation didn't stop there however and the UKPK also got a trademark 'SpydieHole' for one-handed opening and a wire pocketclip for carry convenience.

Supercharge your EDC
The UK Penknife is proudly crafted in the USA and is equipped with the iconic full flat ground leaf shaped blade. This model is supercharged with CPM S110V, a high performance supersteel with high levels of Vanadium and Niobium carbides providing great performance in edge retention and toughness, while the high Chromium content provides extreme resistance to corrosion making it a high performance EDC companion. The action is smooth with a satisfying click into the hold-open position, the slipjoint mechanism is notched and features a half-stop position for finger safety whilst closing the knife. Finally the UKPK is equipped with attractive textured dark blue FRN scales that provide great user comfort and function.
