A Rare PM2 for Serious Collectors

The Para Military 2 is one of Spyderco’s most recognisable and enduring designs, but these Smoky Mountain Knife Works exclusives take the platform into considerably rarer territory. Produced exclusively for SMKW, these distinctive PM2 variants pair a high-performance CPM M4 blade with striking FatCarbon carbon fibre scales in three highly sought-after colourways: Jungle Wear, Arctic Storm and Lava. With their distinctive materials and limited exclusive production, these knives have become increasingly difficult to find, particularly in the UK. Now discontinued, they represent a particularly appealing opportunity for Spyderco enthusiasts and collectors looking for PM2 variants that sit well outside the standard production range.

This iteraton is in as new condition, having never been carried or used. Complete with original box and papers.

"These PM2s are some of the absolute best. Discontinued, sought after and super rare, especially on this side of the pond." - Mr. Narhwhal

CPM M4 Meets FatCarbon

The full-flat-ground blade is crafted from CPM M4 tool steel, renowned for its exceptional wear resistance and ability to maintain a keen working edge. On the black DLC version, the dark coating gives the blade a distinctive low-profile finish while adding a further layer of surface protection. The handle scales are the real visual signature of these SMKW editions, with premium FatCarbon carbon fibre delivering a depth and pattern that changes noticeably with the light and makes each colourway instantly recognisable. Beneath the scales, the proven Para Military 2 construction remains intact, including its high-strength Compression Lock mechanism, open-backed construction and four-position pocket clip for left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. Combining one of Spyderco’s most celebrated platforms with discontinued SMKW-exclusive configurations and premium composite materials, these CPM M4 FatCarbon PM2s are becoming increasingly scarce and are a particularly compelling addition to a serious Spyderco collection.
