Distinctive Character

The Techno 2 has long been regarded as one of Spyderco’s finest compact folding knives, combining the design influence of renowned Polish knifemaker Marcin Slysz with premium materials and exceptional build quality. This highly sought-after Fradon Lock Company exclusive takes the platform to another level, pairing an Elmax blade with a striking Dark Matter FatCarbon handle scale. As the first Techno 2 exclusive ever produced, it generated considerable excitement upon release and was offered as part of a limited, highly anticipated drop that quickly sold out. Today, it remains one of the most distinctive and collectible variations of the Techno 2 ever made.

This example is in pristine, as new condition. Complete with original box and papers.

"Don't miss your chance to own this ultra-premium, ultra-exclusive Spydie. Just when you thought the Techno couldn't be any cooler!" - Mr. Narwhal

Elmax Performance Meets FatCarbon Style

The blade is crafted from Uddeholm Elmax SuperClean steel, a premium powder metallurgy stainless steel prized for its rare combination of excellent wear resistance, edge retention and corrosion resistance. Its high sabre grind and stonewashed finish provide outstanding cutting performance while maintaining the robust character expected of the Techno 2. The show-side scale is formed from black Dark Matter FatCarbon, its unique pattern creating a dramatic contrast against the titanium lock-side scale, which houses the knife’s precision-machined Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) mechanism. Blue anodised titanium standoffs add a subtle visual accent, while a reversible deep-carry wire clip supports left or right-handed tip-up carry. Compact, beautifully executed and increasingly difficult to source, this exclusive Techno 2 stands as one of the most desirable collector-focused expressions of Marcin Slysz’s celebrated design.
