CPM 15V is a high-vanadium tool steel renowned for exceptional wear resistance and edge retention, making it a natural fit for a full-flat-ground blade of this size. As a limited Sprint Run produced in Golden, Colorado, the 15V Native Chief adds a particularly desirable steel and handle combination to one of Spyderco’s most distinctive modern back-lock designs.

The full-flat-ground 4.08-inch CPM 15V blade features Spyderco’s signature Round Hole and an index-finger choil, with the precision-machined back lock providing the secure, familiar operation for which the Native family is known. The linerless handle uses textured brown G-10 scales over a stainless steel backspacer, while four sets of threaded inserts allow the polished hourglass clip to be configured for tip-up or tip-down carry on either side. With a 9.08-inch overall length, 5.08-inch closed length and 3.9 oz weight, the Native Chief remains impressively slim for its generous cutting length. This 2026 Sprint Run is a particularly compelling combination of Spyderco’s established design, premium CPM 15V steel and classic brown G-10.
