Two Legends. One Knife.
The SpyKer occupies a unique place in modern knife history as one of the most ambitious collaborations ever undertaken between two industry icons. Produced by Spyderco in Golden, Colorado in 2005, this limited-edition model brought together the design philosophies of Spyderco founder Sal Glesser and legendary custom knifemaker Ken Onion, then Chief Designer at Kershaw. Limited to just 3,000 pieces worldwide, the SpyKer seamlessly blends the unmistakable ergonomics and functionality of a Spyderco with the sweeping lines and distinctive styling synonymous with Ken Onion's designs. Rarely encountered today and even less frequently offered in the UK, it has become a highly sought-after collector's piece that represents a remarkable chapter in the history of both brands.
This example is in pristine, as new condition and is complete with original collectors pouch and COA card.
"The SpyKer was the Spyderco, that got me into Spyderco. It's beautiful, weird, unique and it's utterly unthinkable that we'd ever see this level of collaboration again. An important piece of knifemaking history and a gorgeous piece to boot." - Mr. Narwhal
A Rare Piece of Knife History
The SpyKer features a hollow-ground CPM S30V stainless steel blade with a refined swedge, delivering excellent cutting performance alongside the edge retention and corrosion resistance that made S30V the benchmark premium blade steel of its era. Spyderco's Trademark Round Hole is paired with Ken Onion's signature trio of progressively smaller holes, creating one of the knife's most distinctive visual details while celebrating the heritage of both manufacturers. Precision-machined G-10 handle scales are inlaid with silver carbon fibre twill, combining lightweight strength with a premium finish, while phosphor bronze washers and an adjustable pivot ensure exceptionally smooth action. A generous finger choil provides outstanding control in hand, and a black steel pocket clip completes the design with secure tip-down carry. Innovative, beautifully executed and increasingly difficult to source, the SpyKer remains one of Spyderco's most memorable and collectible collaborations.
