An Underrated Benchmade Classic
The Foray features a 3.22-inch drop-point blade crafted from CPM 20CV stainless steel, a premium particle metallurgy steel renowned for its excellent edge retention, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The blade’s satin finish complements the understated styling, while the contoured black G-10 handle scales provide a durable, textured grip over stainless steel liners. Benchmade’s AXIS Lock mechanism offers smooth, ambidextrous operation, complemented by dual thumb studs for convenient one-handed opening. Open-backed construction with barrel spacers adds to the model’s distinctive mechanical detailing, while the reversible deep-carry pocket clip supports left- or right-handed, tip-up carry. Combining premium blade steel, ergonomic construction and Benchmade’s established engineering, the 698 Foray delivers a well-balanced package for discerning EDC enthusiasts and collectors alike.
