1990s Heritage. Timeless Design.

The Benchmade Emerson Specwar CQC-7 is a genuine piece of modern folding-knife history, representing an important collaboration between Benchmade and renowned custom knifemaker Ernest Emerson. Produced during the 1990s under licence from Emerson, the CQC-7 brought the distinctive character of his custom designs to a wider audience and helped establish a lasting benchmark in premium folding-knife design. Its unmistakable tanto profile, angular lines and purposeful construction have given it enduring recognition among collectors and enthusiasts alike. Long discontinued and increasingly difficult to find in desirable condition, the Benchmade Emerson Specwar CQC-7 is a particularly interesting acquisition for those who appreciate the heritage of the industry and the evolution of modern EDC design.

This example is in as new condition but does not have an original box.

"This is an epic piece of knifemaking history, this really goes back to the early days of the tactical foldng pocket knife. Very rare to find these in unused condition." - Mr. Narwhal

A Piece of Knife-Making History

The original Benchmade CQC-7 combines a chisel-ground tanto blade crafted from ATS-34 stainless steel with a robust handle construction featuring textured G-10 scales and full titanium liners. The blade's distinctive geometry and traditional chisel grind are characteristic of the early Emerson design, while the Walker-style LinerLock provides a straightforward and established locking mechanism. A thumb disc allows one-handed opening, and the original Benchmade pocket clip provides tip-down carry. Manufactured in the USA during the 1990s, this discontinued collaboration represents a fascinating chapter in both Benchmade and Emerson's histories. More than simply an older production model, the Specwar CQC-7 is a sought-after piece of knife-making heritage with considerable appeal to dedicated collectors.
