Slim, Refined & Discontinued

The Sliverax is one of Spyderco’s more distinctive modern designs, created by automotive engineer and knife enthusiast Paul Alexander with a focus on clean lines, efficient ergonomics and multiple methods of operation. Its sleek profile conceals an unusually innovative combination of features, most notably making the Sliverax the first factory-made Spyderco to pair the company’s Compression Lock with a flipper-style opener. The C228CFP is the original carbon fibre version of the model, produced in Spyderco’s renowned Taichung factory and now discontinued. With its unusual design, premium materials and increasingly limited availability, the Sliverax has developed a strong following among enthusiasts who appreciate Spyderco models that sit outside the mainstream.

This example is in pristine, as new condition. Complete with original box an papers.

"This thing has to be held to be appreciated. Paul Alexander is a master of the weirdly functional, the ergonomics are out of this world." - Mr. Narwhal

A Modern Spyderco Collectable

The drop-point blade is precision ground from CPM S30V stainless steel and features a full-flat grind for excellent edge geometry and efficient cutting performance. Its slightly negative blade angle enhances cutting leverage while also contributing to the Sliverax’s distinctive profile. Spyderco’s fully accessible Trademark Round Hole is complemented by an integral flipper, giving the blade multiple one-handed opening options. The lightweight, open-backed handle combines carbon fibre and G-10 laminate scales with nested stainless steel liners, which provide the foundation for Spyderco’s high-strength Compression Lock mechanism while keeping the overall package slim and pocket friendly. A reversible deep-pocket wire clip allows right or left-side tip-up carry, completing an exceptionally refined everyday-carry design. Produced from 2017 until its discontinuation, the C228CFP is now an increasingly elusive example of Paul Alexander’s distinctive Spyderco collaboration.
