Compact Form. Bold Character.
The Benchmade 818 Mini Loco brings together bold design, premium materials and carefully considered ergonomics in a distinctive everyday carry folder. Designed by custom knifemaker Warren Osborne, the Mini Loco takes inspiration from his unmistakable design language, combining a broad, angular blade profile with a sculpted handle that prioritises comfort and control. Its compact proportions retain the substantial character of the larger Loco platform, while the black and grey handle detailing gives the knife a purposeful, understated aesthetic. Now a discontinued model, the Mini Loco has particular appeal among Benchmade enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate Osborne’s distinctive approach to functional design. For those seeking a less commonly encountered Benchmade with genuine character, the 818 offers a compelling blend of everyday practicality and collectable appeal.

Designed to Stand Apart
The Mini Loco features a 3.26-inch drop-point blade crafted from CPM-S30V stainless steel, valued for its balanced combination of edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance. The blade’s satin finish complements the knife’s clean, industrial styling, while the contoured G-10 handle scales provide a durable, textured grip and a comfortable hold during everyday use. Benchmade’s AXIS Lock mechanism delivers smooth, ambidextrous operation, with dual thumb studs allowing convenient one-handed opening. Stainless steel liners reinforce the handle construction, while the reversible pocket clip supports flexible carry options. Combining Warren Osborne’s distinctive design, proven locking technology and premium blade steel, the Benchmade 818 Mini Loco remains an appealing choice for enthusiasts looking for a characterful EDC folder beyond the current production range.
